Rice Protein

Significantly increases hair volume, increases ability to bind moister and therefore have increase in flexibility and tensile strength.
Hair that lacks protein or moisture has lost its elasticity, which means it's more prone to breakage.

Squalane

Our Squalane is derived from olives, works to keep hair soft and smooth.
Olive Squalane helps slow down trans-epidermal water loss and boosts skin moisture and can act as a great conditioner while helping to restore any lost lubrication on the scalp.
It softens hair texture and adds shine without making the hair strands greasy and can also be used in the hair to help prevent moisture loss & breakage.
Because it is stable at high temperatures, it can be used as a heat protectant too!

(aka Maracuja Oil)

Helps encourages healthy hair growth and vitality.
Maracuja oil is rich in protective antioxidants like lycopene, and is known to battle the effects of sun damage, pollution, and other environmental stressors.
The high antioxidant content in maracuja is known to protect against hair loss, and moisturizing properties of this oil are effective for conditioning both scalp & hair to enhance smoothness and volume.

This is a humectant agent, meaning it attracts and retains water to provide conditioning to your hair.

Emblica Officinalis Fruit Extract

Also known as amla oil, extract from an Indian berry that is rich in antioxidants & works to strengthen hair follicles at the root & is known to help re-growth.
Based off several small studies, amla appears effective at keeping hair parasites away, improving hair appearance, and increasing hair growth.
Not based off studies but worth noting: Ayurvedic practitioners believe that amla oil can promote hair growth, reduce dandruff, and prevent the graying of hair (not proven but we have our fingers crossed!)

Palmitoyl Camellia Sinensis Extract (White tea extract)

Tea extract which works as an agent to strengthen hair strands.
White Tea contains powerful antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, as well as anti-collagenase and anti-aging properties.
Its caffeine content helps to stimulate blood circulation, improving hair growth, and acts as a humectant to help moisturize and condition the hair and scalp.

Fragrance (Parfum)

Provides a symphony of beautiful scents for your enjoyment that linger on the hair.
Not all fragrances are created equal--ours are formulated to Credo's strict fragrance requirements for "clean”.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Both softens the hair and thickens and stabilizes the product itself.

Behentrimonium Chloride

A waxy solid derived from the seeds of Brassica rapa olifera, also called canola or rapeseed, which is part of the mustard plant family that is an anti-static and hair conditioning agent that helps fortify the protein structure of hair.

Brassicamidopropyl Dimethylamine

Cationic hair conditioning agent.
Smooths the cuticle and softens hair & aids in frizz reduction and super slick detangling.
Cationic Surfactants have a positive charge which attach to our hair which has an overall negative charge thus forming a film so that cuticles lay flat and don’t snag on to each other.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Created by combining coconut oil and glycerin which created a barrier on the hair’s surface decreasing the amount of moisture lost.

Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter

Derived from the coco bean, this ingredient slows the loss of water by providing a barrier on the hair’s surface.

Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Seed Oil

Incredibly hydrating & rich in antioxidants, it improves the elasticity of hair as well as fortifies the strands and scalp.
Baobab oil also helps to protect hair from heat and environmental aggressors like pollution, sun, wind, and extreme temperature.

Tocopherol

A form of vitamin E which works to protect hair and skin from damage due to sun exposure.

Panthenol

Improves the texture of damaged hair by strengthening the hair and helping to retain moisture.

Opuntia Ficus-lndica Seed Oil

Also referred to as “prickly pear” the fatty and amino acid content gives hair shine, volume, and lust.
Prickly pear's betalains and phenolic compounds, along with its high levels of antioxidants, are known to provide relief from itchy and inflammatory scalp conditions. These compounds are also known to help stimulate hair growth while preventing hair loss. Prickly pear oil contains many healthful compounds known to have hydrating, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties.
Research has shown: prickly pair oil can reduce inflammation and may prevent skin damage to your scalp as it is the first thing the sun hits!

Pongamia Glabra Seed Oil (Karanja Oil)

Acts as a natural preservative to keep your products fresh.
Naturally helps protect your hair of your hair's cell membrane complex as well as increases photo protection while decreasing damage to scalp & hair as well as UV induced hair color fading.
Karanja Oil is known to contain 18 carbon chain fatty acids which help control your hair’s water loss, resulting in softer and more manageable strands.

Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride

This ingredient protects hair from the sun’s UV rays and increases the tension of the hair so that it is less likely to break during combing.
This ingredient is known to help protect both dyed color and the natural pigments in hair from fading.
