Hey Everyone,
Kate here!
You heard that right, Dip just dropped shampoo bars with a band.
And not just any band. Guster!
Back in high school, I used to sit at house parties with my friends while full Guster albums played from start to finish. I’ve seen them in concert more times than I can count, and their music has been part of the soundtrack of my life for decades.
So yeah.. this one feels extra personal.
A Guster x Dip Collab, Years in the Making
Two years ago, I met Ryan Miller from Guster at a magical Dip x Whalebone Magazine retreat in Nosara, Costa Rica. It was one of those events where we all arrived as strangers and left as friends, surfing, chasing sunsets and building a community. Fast forward to a Guster show in Baltimore, Maryland this June, where Ryan introduced us to Adam Gardner—Guster bandmate and the force behind REVERB, the nonprofit making live music more sustainable. That night, in a quick conversation backstage, we shared ideas about the refill movement, environmental impact, and how brands and bands can come together to do something good.
That’s where this collaboration was born.
Meet the Bars
We created two limited-edition Dip bars inspired by Guster’s music, creativity, and commitment to the planet. The formulas you know and love—just wrapped in tour-ready style.
Side A: Ooh La Lather
Our color-safe shampoo bar. Flamingo-pink, festival-fresh, and ready to rock your shower.
Side B: Wrecking Machine
After-swim detangler meets conditioner magic. Soft, shiny, and totally stage-ready.
Dip x Guster Shampoo & Conditioner – New Artwork Edition
Inspired by Ryan's crazy cool embroidered jacket that he wears at shows: We gave our shampoo & conditioner bar a visual remix—embroidered-style illustrations featuring rockets, butterflies, goldfish, and tour stickers. A nod to Guster’s cosmic, collage-style creativity.
Exclusively at Gogo Refill – Portland, OR
This limited-edition release kicks off at Gogo Refill—one of Dip’s original retail partners and a refill shop that both REVERB and Dip love deeply.
If you're anywhere near Portland, Maine—go. This is the only place you’ll find these bars in the wild. (And they will go fast.)
Bonus: Adam from Guster/REVERB will be doing a special meet & greet at Gogo Refill during Guster’s On the Ocean festival weekend, August 8–10.
Sunday August 10th from 12:30 to 1:30
64 E St, South Portland, ME 04106
Why Guster? Why Now?
Because they walk the walk.
Guster has always led with heart—and with action.
Through REVERB, Adam Gardner has helped make touring greener and more impactful for countless artists. From reusable water bottles and waste-free venues to carbon-neutral events, they’ve changed the industry standard not only for their own concerts but their mission is catching on among artists from Billie Eilish to Dave Matthews Band.
This collaboration is our shared way of saying: sustainability can be joyful, artful, and worth showing up for.
What Makes These Bars So Good?

Don’t Miss the Drop
Like any great show, when it’s over… it’s over. These bars are limited-run, with packaging that’s as collectible as a vintage concert tee.
If you’re a fan of Dip, Guster, or just love cool stuff that does good in the world—this one’s for you.
Thanks for being part of something that started in the crowd, traveled backstage, and ended up in your shower.
xx,
